Vivian Sierra, Ph. D.

Dr. Vivian Sierra has a background in education, clinical and school psychology, counseling, and psychotherapy. She earned her doctorate from St. Louis University, and she received post-doctoral training and supervision to earn Clinical status from the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Dr. Sierra is also a certified divorce mediator.

She began her Metro East/St. Louis area counseling practice in 2005, and has continued to grow, adding carefully chosen partners and complementary services to meet the growing needs of the community. She incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), neuroscience, relaxation and meditative training into her counseling and therapy techniques. She works collaboratively with her clients to help them become healthy, grow, and develop and sustain maximum health and a sense of well-being.

Yvonne McCall, MA LCPC

Yvonne is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 25 years of experience. She completed a Master’s degree in art therapy, dance therapy, and psychotherapy from Lindenwood University. She also has additional training in family therapy, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) brain based therapy, chemical dependency, and meditation/guided imagery. She has authored two books: Movement-Image Technique, Yeah Art, and Waves of Recognition. Yvonne considers her focus on the whole person - body, mind, and spirit - important in each client’s counseling and in life.

Karen Palmer, MS LCPC

Karen is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 25 years of experience. She received her education and training from Washington University and Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, and she is also a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. She has additional training in family therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, alcohol and chemical dependency, critical incident stress management, family violence prevention, and solution-focused brief therapy. Karen treats each person with respect and dignity, and infuses her counseling relationships with her warm, caring style.

Ann Willgoose

Ann is has over 15 years of experience as a counselor.  She has a rich and diverse experience having worked in community mental health agencies, hospitals, homeless shelters and group homes.  With a background and training in mental and rehabilitation counseling, Ann has a particular passion for working with individuals and families dealing with developmental disabilities, chronic mental and emotional issues including personality disorders.  Other areas of practice include infertility/miscarriage, grief and loss, play therapy, crisis counseling and overeating.  She has extensive training and practice in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness which enhance her effectiveness as a therapist and counselor.  Ann cares deeply for her clients and their goals. She actively listens to her clients and believes in everyone's ability to change.  Her hobbies include gardening, outdoor activities and spending time with family and her two dogs, Noodles and Willie John.

Autumn McKeel

Autumn is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.  She earned her Master’s Degree from Southern Illinois University (SIUC), and has begun the doctoral program at SIUC.  As a Behavioral Analyst, Autumn helps children, adults, and families dealing with autism, Asperger’s, and other developmental disabilities.  She also works with people having difficulty with anger management, making friends, independent living skills and weight loss.  She works with children, teens and adults  of all skill levels.   Autumn also works with parents, teachers and other professionals to support and maintain positive changes  in behavior.  Behavior analysis can begin with a functional assessment to determine the cause of the problem behavior to develop a more effective treatment plan.  As an alternative, Autumn is available for home and school visits:  An option for individuals and families that offers more convenience  and flexibility for busy schedules.  Autumn also has experience in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT).   Autumn leads social skills training groups and parent and teacher trainings.   In her free time,  Autumn enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Beth Brown

Beth is the happy face that will greet you to Sierra Counseling.  She started out at Sierra Counseling in early 2010, and made herself an irreplaceable part of keeping the business running smoothly.   Beth  served in the United States Air Force for six and a half years:  Five of those years spent working in the Pentagon as an administrative assistant for the Secretary of the Air Force.   She separated from the USAF in 1995 to become a full-time Mother.   Her position as Office Manager and Credentialing Specialist at Sierra Counseling is her first and we hope final reentry to the workforce.  In her spare time, Beth is a wonderful wife and mother of 3 children.  She also takes great pleasure in her epicurean adventures,  volunteer work,  indulging her flair for fashion and spending time enjoying her friends and relatives
